Happy Friday and congratulations for making it to the end of another working week.
If you’re based in Australia you’ll be aware that it’s also the end of the first week in the new financial year. Let’s say that’s the reason for me getting together this week’s Pun Friday 😉
And I’ve got a helluva one to get us started…
Who signed this off? Give them a medal!
There’s not much to be said about this. Copywriter Clare Barry, who spotted this beast of an advert, pretty much summed up how the rest of us feel.
If you’ll excuse me, I’ve just realised everything I’ve ever done is completely worthless. pic.twitter.com/Rw0jSV2JhG

I can only imagine the writer’s pure joy when this got the go-ahead.
Two puns, one email
I’m not going to sugar coat this: I usually ignore and delete the emails I get from InVision. Until they punched this into my inbox earlier this week.
It almost went over my head until I read it out loud. Did you get it straight off?
But that wasn’t the end of it for InVision. Oh no. They went for the ole’ one-two. Within the email was this…
Proof that a call to action doesn’t have to be boring or bog standard!
Rounding off with a bit of blue
The final contribution for this week’s Pun Friday comes from Fleshlight, the male sex toy company who make masturbators disguised as flashlights. (Yes, even their company name is a satisfying pun.) In a bawdy, gnarf kinda way I did enjoy their summer holiday inspired banner that recently appeared on their homepage.
Got a good one for Pun Friday?
I’m always on the lookout for good Pun Friday contenders, but I only have one set of eyes.
If you spot a cracking pun used in one form of marketing or another, let me know about it! You can email it to me or tweet me @RoseC_Leic with a link and use #PunFriday.
Until next time!
